What is the Multi Layer Fresco?
Over the centuries Old European houses have been often redecorated simply by the application of the fresh layer of lime plaster over the old (painted) one and painted again in fresco with the new design. As time went by some of these building were abandoned or left without proper repairs and layers of plaster have fallen off revealing previous designs hidden beneath presenting us with a mesmerizing journey back in time.

This particular buon fresco piece is one of the few studies that I have created while working on the “Malibu Fresco” project which started my Renaissance Collection.
